This “popcorn” weaving style has intricate needlework producing a 3-D effect through patterns of French knots, or uncut loops forming a fabric pile. American Tradition, John Adams, and Martha Washington’s Choice bedspreads are examples of this type of candlewick construction currently woven. Many other designs are in the Maine Heritage Weavers library and they have design capabilities to produce custom designs if desired.
