Full Matelasse Woven Bedspreads

Full Matelesse woven bedspreads measure 96" by 110" and come in a variety of colors and designs including Heritage, Queen Elizabeth, Tuscany, Cape Cod and Abigail Adams (also known as First Lady's Choice). 

Matelasse bedspreads and coverlets have been woven on looms in Lewiston, Maine, for the past 150 years at the former [tag]Bates Mill[/tag].  Now, these elegant cotton bedspreads are offered in a variety of colors and designs by Maine Heritage Weavers, a company that has former Bates employees weaving bedspreads on looms similar to those used by the former Bates Fabrics. 

These bedspreads are loomed with raised fabric and embossed surface (also called trapunto) designs and are being sold throughout the United States and the rest of the world.  Queen size bedspreads, which measure 102"x116", are the most popular in size, and Maine Heritage Weavers also manufactures standard and custom size throws, bedspreads and coverlets.
