ByFull-size luxury woven bedspreads measure 96″x110″ and are woven at Maine Heritage Weavers in Lewiston, Maine by former Bates employees in both candlewick and matelasse constructions.
Maine Heritage Weavers manufactures both matelasse and chenille bedspreads, coverlets and throws with one hundred percent cotton. Maine Heritage Weavers bedspreads are woven on looms similar to those used by Bates Fabrics (which began in the same city by Benjamin Bates in 1850) and by former employees of Bates in one of the buildings that housed the Bates Manufacturing Company.
These very high quality textiles are offered in a variety of popular styles including Queen Elizabeth, Abigail Adams, Queen Elizabeth, Martha Washington’s Choice and Heritage. The Bates Mill Store has been selling luxury terry loop, matelasse, and ribcord bedspreads for over 50 years. They are located in Lewiston, Maine in one of the former Bates buildings.
