Matelasse Bedspreads on Jacquard Looms

Matelasse Bedspreads are still woven in Maine.  Using the same type of looms used by the fomer Bates Fabrics, Maine Heritage Weavers employees have the capability to design and weave the [tag]matelasse[/tag] in a variety of styles and colors.

Heritage, one of the oldest matelasse designs in America is still quite popular.  It is available in bedspread sizes with a luxurious string fringe, and coverlet sizes with a pom-pom fringe.  [tag]Queen Elizabeth[/tag] and Abigail are well known designs, and Maine Heritage Weavers are constantly adding to its impressive matelasse collection.

Tuscany and Cape Cod have been recently reintroduced. In addition to adding designs, Maine Heritage Weavers has been increasing the color selections.  Solid colors include white and antique.  Two-tone colors, which really enhances the design, is available in linen, sage, french blue, wedgewood blue or quartz.
