Queen Matelasse Bedspreads

Queen matelesse bedspreads measure 102" by 116" and come in a variety of colors and designs including Heritage, Queen Elizabeth, Cape Cod and Abigail Adams (also known as First Lady's Choice). 

Matelasse bedspreads and coverlets have been woven on looms in Lewiston, Maine, for the past 150 years at the former Bates Mill.  Now, these elegant cotton bedspreads are offered in a variety of colors and designs by [tag]Maine Heritage Weavers[/tag], a company that has former Bates employees weaving bedspreads on Jacquard looms and [tag]dobby looms[/tag] similar to those used by the former Bates Fabrics. 

These bedspreads are loomed with raised fabric and embossed surface (also named trapunto) designs and are being sold throughout the United States and the rest of the world.  Queen size bedspreads are the most popular in size, and Maine Heritage Weavers also manufactures standard and custom size bedspreads and coverlets.
