Martha Washington’s Choice and American Tradition woven by Maine Heritage Weavers are examples of candlewicks, also known as terry loop or hobnail. Candlewick bedspreads were named so because the length of the tuft (or terry loop) on the bedspread was as long as a candle’s wick.
