What does USA woven bedspreads and Bates Mill Store have in common?  A reputation for the best matelasse and candlewick/chenille bedspreads made in America.

Matelasse and terry bedspreads are woven in Lewiston, Maine, USA, by Maine Heritage Weavers a company formed by former [tag]Bates Fabric employees[/tag] that wanted to insure these classic bedspreads would continue to be produced in the United States.

The Bates Mill Store began in the 1950's as an outlet for Bates Fabrics and continues to sell these popular woven bedspreads direct from the factory.

In addition to bedspreads, Maine Heritage Weavers manufactures [tag]blankets[/tag], coverlets, shams and throws, all in 100% of the highest quality cotton.

These bedspreads are woven on looms similar to those used for over 150 years by Bates Fabrics.  Highly skilled craftsmen and women produce a product they say is loomed to be heirloomed.  If you are not aware of Bates types of bedspreads, ask your mother or grandmother, she will know.
