A company formed by former Bates Fabrics employees, Maine Heritage Weavers is located in Lewiston, Maine. The same location Benjamin Bates founded Bates long ago. Our woven matelasse bedding include coverlets, throws and bedspreads all of which are machine washable.
Bedspreads are fade resistant due to weaving with the finest yarns available. In addition, shrinkage is minimal in these luxurious USA woven spreads. Queen Elizabeth, a true cotton matelasse (also referred to as “trapunto”) woven bedspread, is an authentic reproduction of an original handwoven masterpiece dating back to the first Elizabethan Era before becoming popular in Colonial America. The elegant center medallion and flowers are permanently puffed to give grace and clarity to this classic museum design. Queen Elizabeth (Elizabethan Court) is offered in standard throw, twin, full, queen, king and pillow sham sizes in several colors including blue, sage and burgandy.
